Wit's end

Okay, so she did it again! Mealyworm opened the window and screen in her room and threw toys out! Mind you this is a 2nd floor window...with a concrete patio underneath! Aargh! Mealyworm will be 3 in about 5 wks. And its like talking to a puppy...she just doesn't listen. She doesn't care what toy I take away, what "treat" she's not going to get, blah, blah, blah. Mind you she is sad when mommy is mad, but it doesn't stop her from doing it the next time...I swear, she's going to push me over the edge of insanity.

Yep, had a boy like that. Couldn't figure out the pile of toys in the corner of the yard, and then looked up.

He's now in High School, and he's a pole vaulter. Why is that not a surprise!

I wish I had some advice for you. But seeing as my cats listen to me better than my kids do, I don't think I'm qualified to give out parenting tips. :P

I hope things get better. But I do have to say, 3 is worse than 2. Terrible Two's have nothing on Torturous Three's !

Oh yeah. This whole 2 transitioning to 3... is just crazy. Positive stuff doesn't seem to be working. Bribery fails. The only thing that seems to shake him from his craziness is losing the small amount of TV he watches... which is all fine when MacTroll is home, but ends up making my life difficult when he's away and I need 30 minutes to cook supper.

Definitely get one of those window guards so that she can't accidentally fall out.

Have you tried time outs? Worked with my daughter. But I'm wondering if it's going to work with my son. He's still young and I think it would get lost on him at this point.

I feel for you. My second born is STILL this way and he will be 5 in a couple days. I home your little one gets "better". I keep trying to think of him as this amazing adult with a mind of his own doing a lot of revolutionary things which help the world, but mainly he drives me batty right now. Strength to you!
