Boy Toys

I find myself buying toys for Bug all the time. I don't know if its because he's the oldest and his tastes are clearly defined or because he's a boy and boy toys are everywhere...or if this is some kind of subconscience favoritism. I'm trying to be more mindful of this...in case one of the girls starts to notice.

I totally do this with Bubba, too! I don't know if it's because we're buying potty training rewards (bribes) or if it's because I know what he loves and PG just plays with his stuff. :P

But at the store the other day, he wanted a Matchbox car, and PG asked for one, too - so they both got one. :)

It is way easier to buy for boys, at least IMO. For boy birthdays, I can generally find something to buy for that boy, regardless of how little I know him. For girls, even girls that I know well, I have a hard time figuring out what in the world to buy them. Most of the girls end up getting a Target gift card so they can pick what they want.

For my kids, I buy as much for MT (possibly more, since she is more likely to be with me when I'm at the store while he is in school) but she tends to want foods or candy, where he wants toys. So it seems like he gets more because he has crap laying all over and hers gets eaten right away.
