truth time

okay, so i've been kind of absent in the posting department. if i weren't filled with the need to be honest, i'd lie and say i've been too, too busy to even think about posting. but honestly, i've got several post drafts sitting in the little mailbox, that i didn't feel were worth posting. this blogging thing is messing with my head. i've actually started thinking when i type instead of just typing. it makes me much more hesitant to put anything out there. aargh.

just as a little something to fill your blog-hopping time while i'm wrestling with my inner demons...T-Dad decided to join the fun and started a blog...you can check it out here: http://www.theatredad.blogspot.com/

Eek! Reading this makes me think that you're totally bored and annoyed with my blog. In case you didn't notice, my posts aren't deep or thought-provoking. They're all pretty much a day in the life.

I say let it all out and start posting your drafts! :)

I went through that phase. I figured out I had readers and suddenly it became imperative that I make posts that were IMPORTANT! A while back, you'll see that I quit posting, almost totally. I didn't feel like I had anything important enough to say to put out there.

I finally decided it was my darn blog and I would put out there what I wanted, when I wanted and if people didn't like reading it, no one was holding a gun to their head making them.

I do try to not make it update-y all the time but if that is what it is, so be it. I also find, much like looseyfur, that my fluffy, update-y, completely not earth shattering posts get more comments than anything serious or real that I put out there.

Good luck working through the blogging funk. :)

Part of the update-y thing, too (because I feel like I have to defend my blog now) :) is that a lot of family/friends up north read it to get updates on the daily activities of the kids (and pics are a bonus) since they don't get to see them that often. That was the original intent of my blog, anyway...

I guess it all depends on if you want to use your blogging power for good or evil.

*raises hand for evil* How does one go about that?

quigs - i enjoy your daily stuff, don't change a thing. :)
freak - its good to hear i'm not the only one who is scared now that people actually know my blog exists. it just makes me pause and decide if i really want something "out there" or not. so weird.

I feel the same sometimes, and my blogs are like my mind all jumbled and probably don't make sense half the time. I gave the link to my mother in law to keep updated on family stuff, but when my husbands brother did something i seriously wanted to post about I didn't feel like I could because she reads it and it would start huge family drama or fights or whatever!! see rambling again!
(this is Rachel from CARE by the way, I think we met at the football stdium)
